Codebooks are essential documents that help researchers using CNEF data understand the "language" of the dataset. If you're a new user, they are particularly useful.
CNEF Project actively maintains metadata from the CNEF files on the CNEF Investigator platform. On the page for each individual variable we display frequency distributions and provide links to further information, such as plots of the distribution and algorithms that we use to construct harmonized variables.
Disclaimer: Below we provide links to Codebooks in PDF format. In most cases these documents do not cover the most recent data releases. However, they provide above information in a concise document that you may find useful.
